Washed Ethiopian coffees are such an elevated drinking experience that, to us, they're the coffee equivalent of high tea. The combination of terroir, varietal and altitude creates a silky, clean and crisp cup with vibrant acidity and a sweet bergamot and biscuit-like finish. At these high elevations, cooler temperatures slow cherry development, allowing flavours to develop gradually and with greater complexity. It's this character that gives our Backgammon Blend its delicious Earl Grey tea note. Distinctive, elegant and endlessly drinkable, it's a coffee that stands confidently on its own.
